Andrée Duval, BA, MLS
Deputy Director
The reason Andrée Duval became a librarian is because she believes strongly in freedom of speech, and libraries are one of the last strongholds of this right. Her favourite part of working in a library is the people – both patrons and staff.
Andrée has done a variety of information science jobs. She has freelanced as a computer searcher and was the coordinator of a major research project for the National Library. Andrée soon realized that her passion lay in public librarianship. She has worked as a children’s librarian and branch manager.
Although Andrée now works mostly in administration, she still enjoys meeting patrons – so please approach her.
Her favourite book is "The Bean Trees” by Barbara Kingsolver.
